Eli Coronado CWO3 Nelson Squadron climbed to altitude to defend A18. Large formation of 109s and 110s engaged CAP of airfield. Nelson shot down 2342. Sidle collided with 109. Wyatt shot down 110 at 2346. Coronado shot down 109E at 2347. Sidle recovered at 2347. Roche and Coronado shot down 2348. King shot down 2352. Trol shot down 108 at 2355, then returned to base to rearm at 2359. At about 0000 large formation of Ju-88s sighted. Remnant of squadron attacked. Trol shot down Ju-88 at 0002. Jumped by 110 and shot down 0008. Wyatt rearmed at 0009. Millsaps landed with damage at 0010. Wyatt began climb back to altitude and was engaged by three 110s. Shot down 0017.
